Adventures in Secular Song Lyrics, Part II
"Dig" by Incubus
This song, while most certainly secular in nature, has been sung by myself many many times as an act of worship to the King of Kings.
There are a few lines in the first verse which speak to me as if the Father was telling me them directly:
Look me in the eye
and ask for forgiveness;
We'll make a pact to never speak that word again.
Yes, you are my friend...
My sin is the word that that will never be spoken again. God promises that when you repent He throws the sin away from Him as far as the east is from the west.
