A King Of Tying Shoelaces Featured

I tell Dad about all my problems

I’ve got girl problems and money problems

And too many jokes that aren’t funny problems

I’ve got schedules and to-do lists

And who to call who lists

I’ve fists that stay clenched

sin that won’t quench

breaks that aren’t fixed with two twists

of a wrench

but

When I told dad

He chuckled

And he then proceeded to show me

That my tower of tic-tac task lists

And daily prayer time ask list

Were not but shoelaces

Waiting to be tied by someone who knows how

This week I learned that my problems aren't that big. And your's probably aren't either- It's good to know that we have a God who loves us despite our absolute incompetency in filtering through the things that matter in our relationship with Him, and the the things that aren't more than shoelaces we don't know how to tie.

I'm about as important and interesting to be around in real life as I am short- and to be perfectly honest, I'm 6'5. I like poetry and I like blogging in small doses (and by doses i mean words, not frequency). I like listening to music more than i like eating vegetables and when it rains you will usually find me outside.
