I’ve been on this kick for a long time now, growing more and more frustrated that we as a generation live in such a way that almost NOTHING is being cared for and handled as God intended it to be. Sex is no longer an act of worship. Women are used and abused rather than cultivated. Men are lazy and selfish instead of strong and selfless before the Lord. Parents don’t nurture or teach, they manipulate, control and abandon. Entertainment, conversation, relationships are so filled with sin, lies, and self gratification (ESPECIALLY AMONG BELIEVERS), often times it seems there is no hope for me and my family unless we remove ourselves FROM the world and ignore the pain of God’s children.

            One morning God met me on this. He helped me to realize the truth of this matter; that NOTHING is as God intended it to be. That’s what happened when Adam and Eve found themselves naked in the garden and were eventually cast out, forced to work the ground from the sweat of their brow. The truth is, nothing is as God intended it to be and it cannot be until Christ restores His people and comes with His NEW Kingdom (“Behold I am making EVERYTHING new”).

            However, THIS IS WHY GOD BROUGHT US JESUS. He is no longer concerned with the way things were INTENDED to be as I have been for months now. He’s no longer concerned that things are not as they were in Eden, for that would be  impossible. It can never again be as it was in Eden as long as we wait for the Lord of Lords to return to us. The FUNDAMENTAL REASON God brought us Jesus in the form of a lowly carpenter is because He has moved on. He will no longer sit and mope and complain that they ate the fruit, that they did not trust Him, that all of creation now groans, rather than being cultivated into the magnificent glory He created it for. Instead, He now pours forth all His effort to redeem His fallen world according to His FINAL intent. Where original intent is destroyed by man, final intent is victorious through Jesus. And in the end, we find out they coincide perfectly.

What does this mean? I, we, everyone, must begin to concern themselves NOT with the fallen purposes of everything on this earth and they way things SHOULD BE, but rather with the ways in which to redeem it. That’s what God has done. That’s what God is doing. So rather than seeking out what God intended in the beginning and how bad things are now, I will briefly separate myself from the ways of the world in order to attain clarity, and begin my search for mind renewal in the ways of God today. God, where are you today? How must I live, act, think, love TODAY in a world that knows not how to live in a broken world? God, help me. Help me so so much. I love You. I love my bride. I love Your church. I love myself. I want to aid in the destruction NO longer. Help me.
