hello best lovers on the planet -
hope your love experiments are going well and that you are helping to change the reputation of Christianity from hypocrisy and judgment
to one of love and grace...
I am sure you are...
This week we move to Evangelism in its applied form - please read the following, print out a copy of it and bring it to the next few saltshakers - pass the word - thanks - be blessed, Not The Ben Donley
Saltshaker Evangelism:
Doing as much as we can to save as many as we can
Luke 19:10 - For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost
Luke 5:27-32 - After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. "Follow me," Jesus said to him, and Levi got up, left everything and followed him.
Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, "Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"
Jesus answered them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
Romans 10:9-14 - That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

7 Days of Evangelism Experiment (meet your panel)
What experiences will get you moving in the area of Evangelism?
Number One: Go into the closet –
Standing in the Gap – There is power in prayer – Pray for your sphere of influence (Friends, Relatives, Associates and Neighbors)
Taking Specific Actions:
-Make a “lost list” (F.R.A.N) and lay it out in front of you when you pray –
-Daily ask God to set these people free from whatever is keeping them from the Kingdom (any deceptions, arguments, bondage – See 2 Corinthians 10:3-6) –
-Speak the name and blood of Jesus over their lives –
-Speak out the will of God for them –
-Ask God to bring constant “pop-ups” into their path (people, circumstances and bumper stickers) that they cannot ignore –
-Choose 3 - Ask God, “What part do you want me to play in their movement toward you?”
Number Two: Get a good answer/reason - Why do I hope?
The Bible tells us to always be ready to give a reason for the hope we have for our faith (1 Peter 3:14-16) – People might be asking you and it is a good idea to have better answers than “I just do” or “I have always been a Christian.”
Taking Specific Actions:
-Take some time to consider the following questions:
Why do I believe in Jesus?
What good reasons do I have for trusting Jesus as the master of my life?
What are good reasons for anyone to decide to make Jesus the Master of their lives?
If someone were to ask you why he/she should believe, how would you persuade him/her?
*Unbelievers have reasons for not putting their hope in Jesus!!! What are their good reasons for not believing? How can you work to reverse those?
Basic Apologetics: What are good reasons? Do you have reasons that persuade?
–The Truth is true and relevant? -Creation/Design? -Prophecies fulfilled?
-Personal and powerful experiences of God’s character, movement, and/or Spirit?
-Reliability of the Bible? -Archaeological Proofs? -Jesus history/claims fulfilled?
-Community witness? -Other’s credible eyewitnesses?
Number Three: Go…Online - Take your story to the web–
We have so many ways to reach people nowadays. Take advantage of them.
Taking Specific Actions:
-Write out a brief testimony (One reason I am a Christian/What has Jesus done for me in past/lately? list; Stories of power, grace, love, help, joy, truth, salvation, etc.)
-Post it on social networking sites/walls or send it to people you know who are not Christians and ask them to comment –
-Follow it up
Number Four: Re-see your campus and your purpose there –
You have been placed on this campus to be an ambassador, a light and a witness. This is your mission field for now.
Taking Specific Actions:
-Do a symbolic walk (Stand across the street from campus and claim it as your mission field (speak it out)
– Ask God to help you see the campus first as a place for ministry rather than primarily as a space for education – This will shift your perspective and mindset.
-Cross a street and pray for the area
-Observe the students and professors all around you – Lift up simple, speed prayers for them
-Find a good spot and consider the people-group around you.
-Ask and answer the following questions: What is the problem that needs to be solved here? What do the people around me need? What is missing in their lives? What is stopping them from Jesus? What can the Campus Christians do to bring the unsaved closer to Jesus? What can I do?
Number Five: Identify thyself to your mission field –
Does anyone suspect you? Not undercover mission - Come out of the closet – Unashamed?
Taking Specific Actions:
-Take your Bible to campus and do not hide it – read it privately in public, keep out of bag
-Wear Bible verse shirts/badges -
-Wear Invitation shirts/badges – (“I’m a Jesus Freak, ask me why!” “I am a Christian. Feel free to let me know if I am being a hypocrite.”)
This helps invite a two-way approach -
Number Six: Throwing deep X 3 –
You have been sent. Now go!!!
Taking Specific Actions:
- Choose a specific partner/team
- Choose a specific spot (OUTSIDE – IN DARK – ON MISSION FIELD)
- Choose a time/day
- GO - Be a consistent regular there
- Pray w/power, ask for wisdom, insight and power
- Be aware of what God is doing around you
- Surrender to do whatever He shows you
- Choose a track
Track one: Love Experiments with attached tracts, invitations, flyers, surveys, printed testimonies
Track two: Wait, listen and obey without hesitation –
Track three: Set-up creative outpost to allow curious people to show up (confession vs. porn handouts)
Number Seven: Join a Wesley Team/Form a Wesley Team –
There are several Wesley Teams already in places on campus. Become a part of a team.
Taking Specific Actions:
-Talk to one of the leaders and show up.
-Observe, pray, support and obey.
-Keep track of what is happening.
-Let God use you in powerful ways to make an eternal difference in hundreds of lives.
