Donate to the Wesley
Our History
Since its beginning in 1935, The Wesley Foundation at Texas Tech has been a "home away from home" for Texas Tech students. The donation of our present building in 1950 by Dr. and Mrs. M.C. Overton has helped us to provide that "home" to students. We have had a long history of teaching students about God's love and preparing them to be strong Christian leaders through the many small groups, mission trips, Bible studies, and worship experiences offered. Our goal is that every student, faculty, staff, and administrator at Texas Tech might know the unconditional acceptance and love of God available in Jesus Christ.
As we move forward, The Wesley Foundation proudly continues its long-standing tradition of impacting college students and equipping them for life-long Christian service. Thousands of students have walked the halls and sat on the couches in the basement of Wesley. Those same students go on to become influential and active leaders in their local congregations within the Northwest Texas Conference and throughout the nation and world. Furthermore, we have had well over 200 individuals go into full-time ministry serving as local pastors, campus ministers, youth ministers, worship leaders, leaders in higher Christian education, and even overseas missionaries. Truly, the Wesley Foundation is following the ultimate command Jesus gave the disciples as we go everywhere and tell everyone the Good News of our risen Savior.
The Wesley Foundation at Texas Tech is a ministry of The Northwest Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church.
